Side Dish – Mushrooms

FRIED MUSHROOM in HONEY & SOY SAUCE Serves 6

INGREDIENTS
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp sesame seeds
3 tbsp peanut oil
500 gms white button mushrooms
300 gms brown mushrooms
6 green onions, finely sliced
2 small red chillies, deseeded and finely chopped

PREPARATION
Combine the soy sauce, oyster sauce and honey in a small jug. Set aside.

Chop all the mushrooms into small pieces.

Heat a wok over high heat. Add the sesame seeds and cook, stirring constantly, for 2-3 minutes or until golden. Remove and set aside.

Add the oil to the wok and heat over high heat and then add the mushrooms and stir-fry for a couple of minutes.

Add the soy sauce mixture and stir-fry further until the mushrooms are just tender.

Add the green onions, chillies and sesame seeds and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes. Serve immediately.
